Red Truck Wine Mini Barrel Red Wine
Red Truck Wines New Mini Barrel
We recently reviewed several of Red Truck Wines Sonoma California offerings and really liked them (reviews to be posted soon).
They have introduced the Mini Barrel filled with 4 bottles of their popular Red Wine blend.
We will be including this in the review. Looks like it will be a hit at parties.
Check it out in this video.

Two Vines Vineyard 10 Red Wine
Love the cocoa aroma you pick up from a freshly uncorked bottle of Two Vines Vineyard 10 Red Wine from Columbia Crest Washington State 2005.
A very likable Red blend predominately of Syrah, Sangiovese & Cabernet Sauvignon. This one is schedule for a video review and was suggested by Jennifer.

We visited this winery, the host and people their were very entertaining, out going and just plain fun. Like the wine.
Wine makers Notes: Our 2007 Ménage à Trois exposes the fresh, ripe, jam like fruit that is the calling card of California wine. Forward, silky and soft, this delicious dalliance makes the perfect accompaniment for grilled meats or chicken.

Wine Blogs Blogging
Ahhh the joys of wine blogging…

Waking up and thinking of what wine to review today? What dinner would pair nicely with your selection?
Going to the market to gather everything and finally sitting down at the table with the family, maybe some friends to taste and evaluate the days selection along with a nice meal.
Later basking in the warm glow of a few glasses, taking some pictures for the post and settling in with your last glass of wine to review it.
That is the fun part and likely the most rewarding part. Turning on some friends and a few (very few for now) readers to a nice inexpensive wine and meal to go with it.
This blog is for the average wine drinker that picks up a bottle at the supermarket not really knowing if it’s going to be good or go well with dinner. They do know that they do not want to spend more than $10 for the bottle.
This blogs for you! As is the main site Frugal Wine Review that is still getting fleshed out.
Starting out you have aspirations of getting noticed by the influencer’s in the wine blogosphere. Maybe due to your unique style or view point. You begin with a hastily designed website and blog, a matching twitter account, facebook page, spattering of reviews at snooth & corkd. Join wine blogging groups and the Open Wine Consortium.
Don’t fool yourself though. It will take a lot more than these meager beginnings to get “noticed”. Being a web designer and involved in other areas, I’m used to lots of traffic, high page ranks, first page of Google spots and money from sites.
Put all that behind you if you have that type of background. Unless you are a professional writer for the wine niche and extremely knowledgeable, it will be a long road to any sort of profit.
So…
Do it for the love of wine and your particular passion. That is what I will be doing here. Bringing basic knowledge, cheap good wines and killer wine tours to everyday folks from a Frugal Point of View.
If your interested in your own blog I recommend the Thesis theme (if you know your way around wordpress). If not I will be designing a free wine blogger wordpress theme for those that want to blog just for fun. Stay tuned it will be available soon.
