Maipe Malbec 2008 – Whats Hot Deal

This Malbec from Mendoza, Argentina is on the radar and a hot deal.

Earning 90 points from the Wine Advocate with a price point of $10.99 locally at total Wine. The rating and price are sure to get some attention.

But how does it taste? After all we don’t always agree with the top critics now do we?

We have not tried it (on the list) but below are what’s being said around the web in reviews of the Maipe Malbec 2008

Tasting Notes:

The Malbec is a glass coating purple color with a strinking perfume of violets, black cherry and black raspberry. Exchibiting suprising complexity for its price category, the wine has gobs of fruit, savory flavors and excellent depth and length. It is and outstanding value for drinking over the next 3-4 years.
